GoFundMe created for family of 18-year-old who died in Dartmouth crash

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — A GoFundMe was created for the family of the 18-year-old victim who died in a crash in Dartmouth on July 26.

18-year-old Amilton De Pina Semedo, of Pawtucket, and 19-year-old Kevin Dos Santos Lopes, of New Bedford, died after they were ejected from their vehicle.

According to the GoFundMe, Amilton, also known as Thiago, was a “bright, kind, and loving soul whose life was taken far too soon.”

“His loss has left his family and all who knew him in deep shock and sorrow. As you can imagine, no parent is ever prepared to lose a child, and during this unimaginable time, the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming,” the GoFundMe said.

According to the GoFundMe, the funds raised will go towards funeral expenses, counseling, and other costs the family may face.
