Pawtucket police investigating convenience store robbery

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A Pawtucket convenience store was robbed under threat of shooting Sunday night, according to the Pawtucket Police Department.

The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. Sunday at the Gulf Express II store on East Avenue.

A male suspect entered the store and threatened to shoot the clerk if he attempted to intervene.

The suspect fled the store on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

No firearm was observed by the clerk, and there were no injuries in the incident.
