McKee officially signs Rhode Island minimum wage raise into law
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee signed the minimum wage raise into law.
The bill to raise the wage was passed in June, and will see the wage grow from its current $15 to $17 over the next two years.
This schedule is concurrent with the last minimum wage increase, which went into effect this January.
The federal minimum wage is at $7.25.
