Firefighters battle house fire in Foster

FOSTER, R.I. (WLNE) — Firefighters battled a house fire in Foster Monday morning.

Crews responded to a home on Foster Center Road just before 11 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke coming from a one-story log cabin, and located flames in the basement.

The Chopmist Hill Volunteer Fire Department said firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.
