Fall River Police arrest man on drug trafficking charges

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said it arrested a 41-year-old on drug trafficking charges.

Ramon Nieves was charged with trafficking in heroin/morphine/opium/fentanyl, 200 grams or more.

Police said they searches Nieves’ residence on Aug. 1, as well as two stash houses and his vehicle.

They allegedly found four kilograms of fentanyl, $8,000 in cash, and “other evidence consistent with drug trafficking.”

Massachusetts State Police, Brockton Police Department, East Bridgewater Police Department and Homeland Security all assisted in the investigation.
