Heat Wave Likely This Week

As summer does, we are expecting it to get hot and humid in Southern New England. Transitioning into the workweek, we find a change in the overall weather pattern, and for the hotter! Morning temperatures will begin seasonably near 65, but with a morning full of sunshine and warm air moving in, we will find temperatures topping out in the low-90s away from the coast and near 85 at the beaches. This kicks off a sunny but very hot and humid trend as temperatures top out inland in the low-90s and with the expected humidity, will feel even hotter. This goes through Wednesday. Clouds build in Wednesday into Thursday with a cold front. There is also a chance of showers as the front comes through Wednesday night into Thursday. Note: if the front comes in sooner or later, the chance of showers will follow suit. Sunshine returns for Friday with cooler temperatures in the 80s and more comfortable humidity. Saturday and Sunday are looking pretty nice with sunshine and temps in the mid to upper-80s.
