Potential Heat Wave Developing
The dry conditions continue as High Pressure sits off the east coast through midweek while pumping in plenty of heat and humidity. Now, it won’t feel as hot as it did last month where heat indices were reaching 100°+, but it will still feel like it is between 94-97° through Wednesday. The south coast will be the place to be as light breezes off the water keep the shoreline about 10° cooler than inland locations.
A cold front will finally make its way into New England on Thursday which will likely trigger a scattered shower or thundershower, but more importantly it will break the high mugginess and bring some relief as we head into the weekend.
