One dead, one seriously injured after motorcycle crash in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)– One person is dead and another is seriously injured after a motorcycle and car crashed in Providence.

A Providence Police spokesperson said that the crash occurred at 10:03 p.m. Sunday around the intersection of Elmwood Avenue and Congress Avenue.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene, and the spokesperson said that its passenger was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The car’s driver remained on the scene.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and the crash is currently under investigation.
