1 patient airlifted to hospital after car hits tree

BLACKSTONE, Mass. (WLNE) — One person was airlifted to the hospital after their car collided with a tree on Aug. 10, according to the Blackstone Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the scene just after 9:30 p.m. to find a car had crashed into a tree and landed on top of a parked car.

Crews found one person trapped inside the vehicle and were able to free them.

The patient was airlifted to the hospital via MedFlight.

Officials said the car had crashed into another vehicle on the street, causing it to collide into the tree.

Woonsocket and North Smithfield crews assisted with the response.
