Providence Police identify victim in motorcycle crash

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department has identified the victim who died in a motorcycle crash in Providence on Aug. 10.

Police identified the victim as 29-year-old Jonathan Arias.

On Aug. 10, just after 10 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a car near the intersection of Elmwood Avenue and Congress Avenue.

The driver of the motorcycle, later identified as Arias, was pronounced dead on the scene.

A passenger on the motorcycle was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car remained on scene.
