Exeter man convicted in rock beating murder sentenced to life in prison

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — An Exeter man who brutally killed his roommate with a rock will spend the rest of his life in prison.

In June, Ramsundar Ramkalawan was convicted of beating 65-year-old Donna MacDonald to death with a rock in 2022.

The attack happened after getting into an argument with her and her son.

He was then caught on video throwing evidence into a dumpster outside, including the rock, which had both of their DNA on it.

He then went to a nearby gas station to call an ambulance.

Ramkalawan was sentenced Wednesday, with no chance of parole.
