30-year 99 cent Arizona Ice Tea price to rise due to Trump aluminum tariff
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — After nearly three decades under the one dollar mark, the price of 99-cent Arizona Iced Tea will soon cost you a little more change.
That’s what the co-founder and chairman of the company, told the New York Times.
He cites the impact of President Trump’s tariff on imported aluminum from Canada, which doubled from 25 to 50 percent.
If it’s not resolved, he said, at some point the consumer will have to pay more.
