Jamestown Police say ‘no signs of foul play’ after body found at Heads Beach

JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Jamestown Police Department said there are “no signs of foul play” after police found a body washed ashore Heads Beach on Aug. 10.

Jamestown police responded to Heads Beach on Aug. 10 after a swimmer spotted the body around 7:30 a.m.

On Tuesday, Jamestown police said “at this state of the investigation, there are no signs of foul play, and nothing appears suspicious.”

Police said the victim was identified as a white man believed to be between 60 and 70 years old.

The identity of the man and his cause of death are still unknown at this time.
