Alleged supplier arrested in drug trafficking conspiracy, MSP says

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said police arrested an alleged supplier in a drug trafficking organization.
Ramon Nieves, who police identified as an alleged supplier, was charged with trafficking fentanyl.
In March of 2024, the MSP Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team began an investigation into a drug trafficking organization that distributed fentanyl and cocaine in the Taunton and Fall River areas.
On April 15, hundreds of members of law enforcement executed search warrants for 20 locations, 14 cell phones, and 10 vehicles in connection to the organization.
As a result, 18 people were arrested and police allegedly seized over 2,360 grams of cocaine, 1,365 grams of fentanyl, 33 firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, high-capacity magazines, and over $109,000 in cash,” MSP said.
On Aug. 1, police executed additional search warrants for three apartments in Fall River and a vehicle “believed to be used by the Nieves in furtherance of drug trafficking,” MSP said.
Ramon Nieves was arrested after police allegedly found over 3,195 grams of fentanyl, $8,000 in cash, and “other evidence of drug trafficking.”
Fall River police, Brockton police, and the Bristol County State Police Detective Unit assisted in the investigation.
