Wareham police investigate after train conductor hit by BB pellet

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE)- Police in Wareham are investigating after a train conductor was struck by a BB gun Monday morning.

Wareham police responded to the railroad tracks near the South Wareham bridge after a report of a person struck with a BB just before 10:30 a.m.

Officers found that the train conductor was hit by the BB while passing Pierceville Road.

Chief John Walcek said Wareham officers, along with Plymouth County and State Police K-9 teams extensively searched the area.

Walcek said an investigation to determine whether the incident was an accident or intentional is underway.

No charges have been filed at this time, according to Walcek.
