Lots of sunshine for the next few days
Friday and Saturday bring our next chance for some showers
The upper-level low pressure system that brought us some clouds and filtered sunshine for Labor Day moves to our north today, and that means bright blue skies make a return this afternoon! Temperatures will climb to the middle-and-upper 70s inland, but remain in the low 70s along the coast with a decent seabreeze. Overall, a very comfortable and seasonable September day.
Things change as we head toward the end of the week. Expect humidity to be on the increase Thursday, ahead of the first of two cold fronts arriving Friday. This will bring the chance for some showers and even a few rumbles of thunder, with the best chance being Friday morning. It looks like we dry out Friday afternoon through Saturday morning, but the second front arrives late Saturday and brings another round of showers along with it. Friday and Saturday will also be the warmest days this week, with highs around 80.
By the time we’re all said and done, less than half an inch of rainfall is expected across the board – still not enough to make a dent in our abnormally dry status (especially along the South Coast), but we’ll take all the drops we can get! We clear out and cool off Sunday into Monday.
Have a great day!
