Massachusetts sees multiple lottery winners

FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Lottery said that several prizes were awarded to players in Southern New England.

Edgar Cruz of Nantucket won the $1 million prize in the $15,000,000 Colossal Millions $30 instant ticket game, while Francis Mendes of New Bedford won a $4 million grand prize in the $4,000,000 Gold 50X $5 instant ticket game.

In addition, a $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold in Freetown, and the jackpot for that game was raised to $1.7 billion.
