Sunny and warm today
Returning to fall-like temps for the weekend
If you’ve been looking for a taste of summer, it’s here! For today, at least. Blue skies will be abundant throughout the day and with plenty of sunshine, our temperatures will be above average for this time of year. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 70s and could even peak close to 80 in some spots! We get a bit of a seabreeze along the coast later today but with a wind out of the north, it will be confined to the immediate coastline.
Tomorrow will be a beautiful day as well, just a bit cooler with temperatures in the low 70s. Same goes for Saturday, with a few clouds increasing late in the day. Saturday is my pick of the weekend for any outdoor activities, with clouds increasing Sunday and the chance for some afternoon showers. I think these will be more spotty than widespread, and rain totals won’t amount to much. Showers could linger into Monday morning before low pressure moves off to our south and we dry out.
An interesting note – although September has had a mild start with 8 of 10 days to date with temperatures below average, long-range guidance is indicating that mid-to-late September will see temperatures rise above average for much of the East Coast.
I hope you get a chance to get outside today,
-Tyler
