Tiverton Police ask public for help identifying dead dog

TIVERTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Tiverton Police Department said it asking the public for help identifying a dead dog that was found near the Tiverton Yacht Club on Sept. 1.

The dog was found inside a 28-gallon black and red storage bin wrapped in a button-down shirt alongside three bags of ice and a pillow.

She was described as a black, approximately 8-year-old unspayed female that was possibly a Labrador/Pit Bull mix that was 60-to-80 pounds.

Police said that the dog had possibly been pregnant at time of death.
