Coventry man convicted in child molestation case from 1998-2002 incidents

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Coventry man has been convicted of seven counts of first-degree child molestation after a five-day trial, according to the Rhode Island Attorney General’s office.

David Ouellette, 65, was found guilty of these charges Friday in Kent County Superior Court, according to Tim Rondeau, Director of Communications for AG Neronha.

The conviction stems from incidents between 1998 and 2002 when Ouellette was found to have sexually assaulted a juvenile female victim who was known to him.

Ouellette is being held without bail and will be sentenced on November 21.
