Showers, Then Sunshine for Southern New England!
A few showers have already come through Southern New England, and we’re not quite done yet. We’ll have scattered showers overnight and through Thursday morning. Tonight will also bring patchy fog, a mostly cloudy sky, and temperatures hovering around 60 degrees.
Thursday, again, starts with scattered showers and clouds. However, as low pressure pulls away in the afternoon, we’ll see a change as clouds retreat and more sunshine in the late afternoon and evening before the sun sets. Highs will be in the mid 70s.
Heat builds a bit on Friday, so for those of you missing summertime warmth, you’ll get a little of it back! Highs will be in the upper 70s an low 80s with plenty of sunshine. Then, Friday evening, a cold front comes through and wipes the ab0ve-average temperatures away. We’ll wake up to the upper 40s/low 50s Saturday, and highs both weekend days will only be in the upper 60s! We’ll have sunshine over the weekend as well, though a few clouds move in later on Sunday.
Astronomical fall begins with the Autumnal Equinox on Monday! It’s a mild start to the season, with highs in the mid 70s and a mostly sunny sky!
