Truck goes through guardrail into river in East Bridgewater

EAST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WLNE) — First responders in East Bridgewater rushed to help a driver after their vehicle went off the road and into a river.

According to city officials, it happened just before 4 Wednesday morning on Pleasant Street near Central.

The driver, a man from Boston, came to a bend in the road, but went thru the guardrail and the pick up rolled into the water.

Crews were able to get the driver out and he’s expected to be okay.

The incident remains under investigation.
