State Police bomb squad dispose of World War II devices at Ninigret Park

CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Charlestown Police Department said that several “World War II devices” were found and removed from Ninigret Park on Friday.

The dog park and disc golf course at the park were closed while Rhode Island State Police Bomb Squad responded.

The park was then reopened after the objects were “rendered safe.”
