Newport to close multiple roads starting Sept. 29

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Newport Police Department said that multiple roads will be closed for maintenance and repair work starting on Sept. 29.

Thames Street southbound at America’s Cup will be closed for busses and large trucks for paving from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sept. 29.

Spring Street at Narragansett Avenue will be closed to northbound traffic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30.

Thames Street from Narragansett Avenue to Morton Avenue will be closed din order to replace a power pole from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 30, Oct. 1, and Oct. 2.
