New Bedford to Logan Airport direct flight service launches Monday

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — This morning, Cape Air will launch its new direct flight service from New Bedford to Logan Airport.

That route between the Whaling City and Boston will be twice-daily.

This morning, Mayor Jon Mitchell and other local officials will attend a ceremony that will begin the service with what’s known as a “water salute.”

The first plane takes off at 8:15.
