State GOP leaders call for RIDOT accountability in Washington Bridge audit

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Minority Caucus is calling for accountability from RIDOT regarding the release of the Washington Bridge audit.

Senate Minority Whip Gordon Rogers said:

Since the governor has known about this recommendation since April of 2024, with zero disclosure to the general assembly despite oversight hearings, I call on the governor to immediately disclose what corrective actions, if any, have been implemented at RIDOT.

Senate Minority Leader Jessica de la Cruz repeated the call for accountability from RIDOT, adding, quote, “The cover-up is as bad as the crime.”
