Windy & cool Wednesday for Southern New England!

We’ve had above-average temperatures the last few days, but today, all of that comes to an end! We’re starting out in the 50s (not far from where we should be), but highs only reach the  low and mid 60s. We’ll have plenty of sunshine, but it’ll be a windy day, and a turbulent day on the water as well, in part thanks to Hurricane Imelda and Hurricane Humberto. We have Small Craft Advisories, Gale Warnings, and High Surf Advisories in place through Wednesday and into Thursday morning.

Overnight as the wind dies down steadily, the temperatures go down abruptly. We’ll be in the low to mid 40s waking up on Thursday morning! Once again, highs will be largely in the low 60s with plenty of sunshine.

We warm back up beginning on Friday with highs in the upper 60s– average, for this time of year. The sun will still be in full-force, and that will continue over the weekend as well.

The big difference for the weekend is that highs will be in the mid/upper 70s Saturday and the upper 70s Sunday– much more summer-like!
