Providence police investigate overnight stabbing incident
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police detectives are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred Wednesday night.
According to Chief Public Information Officer for Public Safety Kristy DosReis, Providence police responded to Anthony Avenue for a reported stabbing.
Arriving officers encountered a male victim suffering from a stab wound to his arm.
The victim told officers that the incident might have occurred under Route 10 on Huntington Avenue.
He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with the non-life-threatening injury.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
