Man in Cranston arrested for suspected DUI after allegedly hitting juvenile

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said that a man was charged with DUI and operating a vehicle without a license after allegedly hitting a juvenile on a bicycle.

The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Park Avenue at the Route 10 northbound on-ramp when the juvenile, who was riding a bicycle, entered the crosswalk.

The vehicle hit the victim, causing them to suffer minor injuries to their ankle and shoulder,

The juvenile was not transported to the hospital.
