Providence: Motorcyclist in critical condition after 60-foot fall from overpass

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A motorcyclist remains in critical condition this morning after falling off the Route 6 – West overpass in Providence.

The crash happened last night around 5:30.

The Providence Fire Department says, a man between 20 and 30 years old crashed his motorcycle and fell off the overpass landing about 60 feet below on the Route 10 ramp at Westminster Street.

The rider was badly hurt, and taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
