RI teens arraigned for alleged involvement in burning Boston police cruiser

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Two Rhode Island teens are in custody this morning and faced charges today after an incident where a large crowd destroyed a Boston police cruiser.

18-year-old Julian Bowers from Cumberland, and 19-year-old William Cantwell, from Warwick were allegedly part of the crowd and were arrested at the scene.

They were arraigned Monday morning.

According to our Boston affiliate WCVB, they’re facing a variety of charges, including malicious destruction of property, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.
