Multiple people hospitalized after 3-car crash in Bourne

BOURNE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Bourne Police Department said multiple people were hospitalized after a three-car crash on Wednesday.
Around 1:20 p.m., police received reports of a multi-vehicle crash on Scenic Highway between Edghill Road and Herring Pond Road.
The Bourne Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished a car fire, according to police.
Firefighters began life-saving care to the patients, and police assisted upon arrival.
Police said “all involved parties” were taken to local hospitals, including a 23-year-old man with “serious, life-threatening injuries.”
All vehicles sustained heavy damage, according to police.
All lanes on Scenic Highway were initially closed at the time of the crash, but the highway has since partially reopened.
