Former Coventry town councilor Delellis appears in court for DUI charge
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Former Coventry town councilor Robert Delellis appeared in court today for his arraignment on a DUI charge.
According to Rhode Island State Police, on September 24, Delellis was driving under the influence when he was stopped in East Greenwich.
He was pulled over on the New London Turnpike, and refused a breathalyzer test.
Delellis resigned from his position on the council after being charged and only a month after he was first elected to the council in a special election.
