Providence Amtrak police mourn passing of K9 Dutch

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A local Amtrak police K9 passed away on Wednesday after complications from pneumonia, according to the Providence Amtrak Police Department office.

Dutch, one of the department’s Active Police Explosives K9 officers, worked with handler K9 Officer Paul Saraiva.

There will be a celebration of life held for Dutch Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Final Gift Pet Memorial Center in Cranston.
