Portsmouth teacher receives prestigious award, $25,000 prize

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WLNE) — A Portsmouth teacher was surprised with prestigious educator award on Thursday.

Portsmouth Middle School teacher Kyle Spaltholz received the Milken Educator Award, a national recognition.

The Milken also comes with a $25,000 prize.

Spaltholz was recognized as an educator who displays leadership, resourcefulness and passion for education.
