Rhode Island man arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of crash in New Hampshire

GREENLAND, N.H. (WLNE) — New Hampshire State Police said a Rhode Island man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash.

26-year-old Oliver Denelle, of Narragansett, was charged with reckless conduct, reckless operation, conduct after an accident, resisting arrest, and operating without a valid license.

Police responded to a crash at a construction zone on Interstate 95 around 1 a.m.

Officers arriving at the scene found an abandoned vehicle at the median.

Police said the driver fled into the wooded area and a search eventually found Denelle walking along a utility road.
