1,500 flights canceled Monday as government shutdown enters day 40
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — More than 1,500 flights have been canceled across the U.S. today on day 40 of the government shutdown, including in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
12 flights have been canceled out of TF Green in Warwick Monday with 26 delays, according to Flight Aware.
63 flights have been grounded at Logan International Airport in Boston, and 187 delays have been reported by Flight Aware.
Air travel has been ordered to be reduced by 10 percent by the FAA in the shutdown as air traffic controllers have received their second zero dollar paycheck.
40 major airports have been affected by the reduction.
