Providence Police investigating ‘suspicious death’ after shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that officers were investigating a “suspicious death” after a shooting on Broad Street.

Police responded to the scene around 5 p.m. to find a woman with a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
