Suspect charged with murder in Providence shooting
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said a man was charged with murder after a homicide that occurred on Broad Street on Nov. 13.
26-year-old Kelvin Mendez Cruz was charged with domestic murder and using a firearm when committing a crime of violence – death resulting.
Police responded to the scene around 5 p.m. to find a woman with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
