Two Connecticut teens die in weekend West Warwick highway crash

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police (RISP) are investigating a single-car highway crash that killed two occupants of the vehicle Saturday night.

According to RISP, the incident occurred Saturday at approximately 11:38 p.m. on Route 95 where a silver Toyota  lost control, left the road and collided with a tree.

The six occupants of the vehicle were trapped inside and extricated by first responders.

Five of the occupants were transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

19-year-old Ayanna Voyak of Hartford, Connecticut was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Aisha Jules, 19, of New London, Connecticut, died from her injuries at RI Hospital.

RISP crash reconstruction personnel are actively investigating the cause of the collision.

Mutual aid from multiple neighboring communities assisted at the scene.
