JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Students at Johnston High School were dismissed early Wednesday morning due to heating problems.
Johnston Superintendent Bernard DiLullo Jr. told ABC6 News that students were released from the high school at approximately 9:00 a.m. Wednesday because the heat was not working properly.
“There is a greenhouse connected to the high school and [that] greenhouse has a water based system and the heating sprung a leak, which caused the school to be cold,” said Superintendent DiLullo.
The heating problem has been fixed and class will resume Thursday morning.
