‘Shameful saga’: Rep Auchincloss, Senator Reed comment on Epstein files vote

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — New England representatives in Congress have issued statements on the bipartisan and unanimous vote to release DOJ files related to late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

In his statement, Rhode Island Senator Jack Reed said in full:

After unnecessary roadblocks and needless delay, Congress voted overwhelmingly to release the Epstein files. Anyone connected to Epstein’s heinous crimes must be held accountable. Americans deserve the truth and Epstein’s victims deserve justice and full disclosure.

Representation of the Bay State also provided comment in the Epstein files vote, with Massachusetts Congressman Jake Auchincloss saying:

In America, there should be equal opportunity for everyone, and special privileges… for no one. The Epstein scandal is a grotesque example of the rich & powerful getting away with crimes that shock the conscience of everyday Americans. From day one, I have used my voice & vote in Congress to advance justice for the victims of this shameful saga.
