Winds finally calm down across Southern New England

We’re waking up chilly, but not windy, and that’s a nice win after the last few days!

That said, we’re also watching a storm system sliding south of us. While the storm will stay out of our hair for the most part, we may see a few flurries, even a little drizzle as temperatures climb. This will be for Block Island, South County, part of Newport County and the South Coast. By the afternoon, this storm is gone and even the clouds move out, leaving us with more sunshine for the second half of the day. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s.

Thursday remains calm with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s again.

High temperatures get a boost (low 50s), but clouds increase throughout the day on Friday as low pressure approaches. This system is relatively weak, and will only bring us a chance of a shower or two Friday evening and Saturday morning. We’re back to sunshine by Saturday afternoon with highs in the upper 40s.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and remain in the upper 40s– overall, it’s a nice, dry weekend ahead!
