Another chilly day before an unsettled stretch

We’re waking up to the 20s this morning with a mix of sun and clouds. This afternoon will be cool, in the mid 40s, but what else is new? On the bright side, winds stay calm today, giving us a break from that bitter November feel.

Friday starts in a similar fashion. We’ll be waking up to temperatures in the 20s with a mix of clouds and sun. The afternoon will be calm, but slightly more mild with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s across Southern New England. Our next storm system, however, makes an appearance on Friday evening. At this point, active weather is minimal, with a shower or two before midnight. However, we could see more showers ramp up between midnight and mid-morning Saturday, especially for the coastline.

Saturday afternoon looks drier, and the clouds give us a break for more sun before the sun sets. Highs will be in the upper 40s. Sunday starts out mostly sunny, and highs will wind up in the mid 40s. Expect the sunshine to stick around through the afternoon, though clouds creep in in the early evening. We may end up with a little bit of drizzle, or even a flurry after dark thanks to another speedy area of low pressure.

As for Thanksgiving week– it’s shaping up to be a little more mild, but still somewhat unsettled. We’ll be keeping an eye on some potential for rain throughout the week!
