Dartmouth Police arrest man on multiple drug charges

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Dartmouth Police Department said a man was arrested on multiple drug charges after a weeks-long narcotics investigation.

34-year-old Jeremiah Cowart was charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of Fentanyl, possession to distribute a Class A drug, and possession to distribute a Class B drug.

The department said a search warrant for Cowart’s residence was issued on Nov. 14 and he was taken into custody after attempting to flee.

The search allegedly found approximately 21 grams of suspected Fentanyl, a bag containing suspected Oxycodone tablets weighing approximately six grams, $4,013.00 in cash, scales and packaging materials consistent with the distribution of illegal narcotics, and a hydraulic press used to compress powdered narcotics into a compressed state.
