Attleboro investigating ‘cybersecurity incident’

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — The City of Attleboro and the Attleboro Police Department said they were investigating a cybersecurity incident that took several of the city’s information technology systems offline.

The city said that the only phone numbers working for the city were 911, the Attleboro Police Department business line at 508-223-2950, and the Attleboro Fire Department business line at 508-399-8693.

Email service was also down.

The city said it was working with its insurer as well as state and federal agencies to discover the cause of the incident and restore services.
