Smiley announces slate of holiday events including PVD Holiday Fest

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Mayor Brett Smiley, Councilman John Goncalves, and the Providence Tourism Council announced the city’s slate of holiday events for 2025 Friday, including the new PVD Holiday Fest.
The event will include “more than a dozen community events” running from Dec. 4 to Dec. 7.
Events will include the City Hall Tree Lighting, shows at city hall, and programming at the Providence Rink.
A special Downtown Trolley will run on Dec. 6 for the tree lighting.
In addition, the Hanukkah Spectaculah will occur on Dec. 18 and will include a menorah lighting and live music.
There will also be free two-hour parking between Nov. 29 and Jan. 1.
