Fall River firefighters rescue child from structure fire

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Fire Department said that firefighters rescued a 10-year-old from a structure fire on Nov. 22.

The fire occurred on the second floor of a residence on Snell Street.

The department said the child was rescued from an adjacent apartment and was brought out of the building via ladder.

The cause of the fire was determined to be from an unattended candle from a religious ceremony.
