RWU student identified as victim in Dartmouth crash

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The 20-year-old Taunton man who died in a Dartmouth highway motorcycle crash on Nov. 10 was identified as a student at Roger Williams University.
Massachusetts State Police said 20-year-old Pierre Hriz was killed in a crash on I-195 shortly after 11:30 p.m.
Hriz, a junior legal studies major, was described by RWU as a “dedicated learner with a bright spirit, a great sense of humor, and a profound love for his family.”
The university said that Hriz was from Syria and a “proud representative of our International Student Scholar program.”
RWU said it will honor Hriz’s memory on Dec. 2 in the Upper Commons from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Additionally, a book of remembrance will be available at the front desk of the Center for Student Academic Success for anyone interested in leaving a message or memory for his family.
