Warwick Police seize narcotics, handgun after search warrant

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department said it allegedly seized six kilograms of narcotics and a handgun from a home where a search warrant was executed on Nov. 24.

31-year-old Jason Kahian was charged with manufacturing/delivery/possession with intent to deliver Schedule I/II, manufacturing/delivery/possession with intent to deliver Schedule III/IV, distribution or manufacturing in or near a school, carrying a pistol without a license or permit, possessing a firearm while delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm after being convicted of a crime of violence/fugitive.

Police alleged that the search found cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl along with a 9mm handgun and ammunition.

The investigation was in partnership with the Providence Police Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau.
